I adore Broken Spoke Farm in Hillsborough, NC.
It’s one of our family’s favorite spots for farm fresh produce, animal watching, and the most delicious homemade ice cream. Add to that the gorgeous lighting and beautiful landscape and you have the most fun photoshoot location in all of Orange County, North Carolina.
I started taking photos of my own kids here and quickly reached out to the owners to see if it would be okay to do client sessions at the farm as well. My clients love coming out to this gem of a location, and the kids obviously aren’t mad about a photo session ending with ice cream.
During the summer months (which is a long time in NC), Broken Spoke rotates homemade ice cream flavors – always two at a time (swirl for the best result!) and always a vegan option. My current favorite is banana + peanut butter or pineapple sorbet + coconut ice cream.
I can’t wait for these weekends this season and to see what else they come up with!
